The Island has two international airports. Flights arrive at Malvinas Argentinas International Airport in Ushuaia and Rio Grande. Both are very close to their respective cities of reference and while there is no bus service, will not be expensive a taxi fee to downtown

Ushuaia, the capital city of Tierra del Fuego, is located on the shores of the Beagle Channel and surrounded by the Martial mounts, in a beautiful bay protected by the winds. By 2004, with a population of 58,898 inhabitants. Its name comes from the Yamana language and is interpreted as "bay that penetrates towards the west." Ushuaia department has an area of 9390 km2 (including Isla de los Estados and other minor islands of the Beagle Beagle). The shores of the Beagle Channel and the Martial Mounts give the natural framework, which extends over the town. It is the southernmost city in the world.
Offers a unique landscape in Argentina, through the combination of mountains, sea, glaciers and forests. The capricious topography has generated an extremely picturesque city that combines colours and gradients, following the silhouette of the Andes that cut against the sky. Nearby are located several protected areas, such as the Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego, Playa Larga, Tierra Mayor, etc..
